Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. The name of her can be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. The artist has already recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. The singer gained further attention from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and becoming enthralled by the sound it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to use music for the sake of personal development, and not for the purpose of making money or for as a hobby. She began to write her own compositions. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to be famous for her, however, but to encourage individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact on the world, she started singing them in public. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public so that people can see their importance and the ways they could impact the world. The family did not have any idea about it until she turned 14. There was no way she could have imagined to be Aurora. She claims that she enjoys creating songs. Music is her most preferred way of feeling something.
